HERO OF THE BOTTLE

Sway on!
Sway forth!
Like a tree blown by the wind
Oblivious of the stigma eating through.
HIS LIFE;
Sacrificing all farm inputs on the strongest and latest water in the bottle
Leaving himself to lack and infamy
Skilled in emptying bottles
Inept in labour
Rendering all public amenities useless
Walking away faultless.
All fringe benefits belong to liquor
The wise in mixing drinks becomes loud and foolish
His eyes bloodshot,
Can pass for a lunatic,
But still an urge for more,
More liquor
The reek of liquor announces his arrival.
HIS END.
When the dusk defeats the day,
Comes he,
On an alleyway,
Like coming out of the ocean,
woozy,
swinging high up the rigging of a tossing ship.
Alas! A crash!
