An African is missing

An African is missing.

He is lost in the woods of the western world.

He has been blindfolded not to know his paths.

He has forgotten his roots,

and seems to find pleasure in the woods like bee finds pleasure in honey.

He has forgotten about mama Africa.

The search party whistles but all to no-avail.

The bird sings her message,

but pleasure seems to have blocked his ears.

An African is missing!

I hear mama Africa wail

“my son, my son why hath thou forsaken me”

.Why have you strayed path of foolishness

despite the path of wisdom laid for you?

Why have you disgraced the dignity of your beautiful black blood?

Why have you weakened your African agility and strength with little pleasure?

Have you forgotten the hardship they made you go through?

Have you forgotten the slavery and discrimination you went through in their hands?

Have you forgotten how they refused your forefathers the fruit of their labour?

Come back African.

Come back to make your motherland regain its lost glory.

From the north to the south,

east to west.

Come back home.

Come back to Africa.
